We’ve had a wonderful weekend :)
So I’ve been in a baking, sewing, knitting, all around crafty mood the past couple of days. I’ve made three dresses for Fayth out of some vintage pillow cases I had laying around, I’ve knit a swiffer mop cover that works WAY better than the pads you buy for the mop, and I’ve made two cobblers. (Very yummy, I might add! The one for desert tonight was a peach and pear cobbler with crumble topping, and the one for Matt and Stacy’s BBQ was plain ole’ peach.)
We all had an amazingly wonderful time at Matt and Stacy’s! The food was great, there was laughter all night, and there were kids everywhere, including itty-bitties. I made new friends, and so did the kids. It was really, really nice.
I think that I might try to find the quilt squares I have cut out for Brennan’s blanket and get going on that again, since I found my batting and bias tape. He’s two months old already, but I think she’ll like the colors and fabric.
I also want to make a camera strap cover for my Nikon band and maybe a cover for Jake’s collar, since I found a tutorial online for those two things.
Jake is actually being good for once, not jumping on anyone or peeing on anything! (that I’ve noticed yet!!) I love my dog, but sometimes he drives me crazy! He’s playing catch with me while JackĀ is watching Hunter play Guitar Hero as I blog.
Hollie is out trying to figure out why so many nodes are down, and it’s supposed to get very stormy soon. It rained earlier, and got pretty nasty for a few minutes before just stopping and clearing up again.
Some eye candy for you, because this is the stuff that I want to remember forever. :)
